As you consider "why" you are going, using the comments and questions below, remember to
consider all participants involved.
Consider these key areas:
- What is the long-term mission strategy?
- How can the trip become the first step in being a better support to missionaries on the field?
- Is an "exploratory trip" recommended?
- How will the team handle evangelism?
- How will you develop leaders within the team?
- How will people grow as disciples?
- How will you develop leaders among those you visit?
- What oversight and accountability relationships will the team have?
- Is now the right time to plan such a trip?
- If you return to the same place that your team has gone before,
subsequent trips may be easier, especially if previous teams have successfully built trust with those you visited.
